Hillside grid
The town centre keeps a regular grid of blocks around its main square, set on a spur of land where the terrain allows a relatively even layout.

Líbano Map Poster & Print
Líbano lies in the north of Tolima department, on the eastern slopes of Colombia's Central Cordillera. The town stands at a mid-mountain altitude where the climate suits coffee, and the surrounding countryside is a patchwork of farms on steep ground, cut by streams and small valleys.
The town was founded in the nineteenth century during the period of settlement that spread coffee farming across the Andean slopes of central Colombia. Its centre follows the usual Colombian pattern of a grid around a main square, adapted here to uneven terrain on a mountain spur.
A Líbano map poster contrasts a regular urban plan with dramatic surroundings. The streets hold their grid on the flatter ground, while roads leaving town twist sharply as they descend into valleys or climb toward higher ridges. In black and white, that contrast is striking.

Winding mountain roads
Roads leave the town in tight curves and switchbacks as they cross the slopes, giving the edges of the map an intricate, restless texture.
Coffee country
Farms cover the surrounding mountainsides, divided by streams and ravines, so the town appears as a compact grid set within rugged terrain.
