Pont del Diable
The humpbacked bridge spans the Llobregat at the edge of the old town. For centuries this single crossing carried traffic between the coast and the Catalan interior.

Martorell Map Poster & Print
Martorell grew where the Anoia river joins the Llobregat, on the western edge of Barcelona's metropolitan area. From above, the two valleys form a Y, and the compact historic core sits in the fork, hemmed in by water and steep slopes. Newer districts climb the hillsides and spread across the flat ground beside the rivers, following the terrain rather than a planned grid.
The town's best-known landmark is the Pont del Diable, a steeply arched bridge over the Llobregat. Its origins go back to Roman times, and it was rebuilt in the Middle Ages. Martorell is also home to SEAT's main car factory, and the plant, the rail yards and the motorway junctions take up a large share of the surrounding map.
A Martorell map poster captures this layered geography: two curving rivers, the tight old streets where they meet, and the broad sweep of highways and railway lines that makes the town one of Catalonia's key crossroads. In black and white, the contrast between a medieval town and modern infrastructure becomes surprisingly graphic.

Two-river confluence
The Anoia meets the Llobregat right beside the historic centre, and their valleys divide the map into distinct wedges of streets, slopes and riverbank.
Transport corridor
Motorways, national roads and rail lines all squeeze through the valley. They draw long parallel strokes across the map and frame the factory grounds on the flatter land nearby.

Martorell appeals to people who work in the region's industry, commute through its junctions or remember the old bridge from childhood walks. The map shows a small town shaped by rivers and routes, a place that makes more sense from above than from the road.
