The town grid
Rectangular blocks spread evenly from the centre, typical of interior São Paulo towns. The regular pattern gives the poster a calm, ordered structure.

Matão Map Poster & Print
Matão lies in the interior of São Paulo state, in rolling farmland that has long been devoted to citrus. From above, the town follows the regular street grid common in the region. Rectangular blocks spread out from the centre, a few main avenues cross them, and the grid stops abruptly where the orchards and fields begin.
The economy is closely tied to the land. Matão is an important centre for orange processing and has a long history of agricultural machinery manufacturing. Large industrial plots and processing sites sit at the edges of town, and their bigger footprints stand out clearly from the smaller residential blocks.
The town is also known across Brazil for its Corpus Christi tradition, when residents cover the streets with elaborate carpets of coloured sawdust. A Matão map poster shows those same streets in plain black lines, the grid that fills with colour once a year, set within the wider pattern of citrus country.

Corpus Christi streets
The central streets are the ones covered each year with sawdust carpets during Corpus Christi. On the map they are the core of the grid.
Citrus country
Orchards and farmland surround the town. Beyond the last blocks, their open land fills the edges of the frame with a lighter, quieter texture.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Matão is a place people carry with them: the Corpus Christi mornings, the smell of oranges during harvest, a street they grew up on. The poster turns that grid into something you can hang in a new home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for instance with a family name or a festival year. Choose a style to match the room: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
