Through road
The main north-south road runs through the town and forms its spine. Most streets connect to it, which gives the map an easy, linear structure to follow.

Midelt Map Poster & Print
Midelt sits on a high plateau in central Morocco, between the Middle Atlas to the north and the High Atlas to the south. From above, the town is a compact block of streets set along the main road between Meknes and Errachidia. The surrounding land is mostly open and dry, broken by orchards and the beds of seasonal streams.
The area is known for its apples, grown on irrigated land around the town, and for the minerals and fossils sold here, many of them from old mining sites in the nearby mountains. To the south, the high ridge of Jbel Ayachi fills the horizon and is snow-capped for much of the winter.
A Midelt map poster reads like a clear diagram of a crossroads town. The main road runs straight through, side streets branch off in a loose grid, and farm plots and tracks spread outward. In monochrome, the gap between the built-up centre and the empty plateau becomes the defining feature.

Orchard belt
Around the built-up area, irrigated orchards and fields make a finer pattern of plots and paths. It is the softer edge between the town and the open plateau.
Plateau setting
Beyond the orchards the land opens into wide steppe crossed by dry riverbeds and tracks. On a wider frame, Midelt looks like a small, dense point between two mountain ranges.
