Ridge roads
The main roads follow the tops of the hills and the edges of valleys. Their gentle curves trace the shape of the land underneath.

Nyachera Map Poster & Print
Nyachera lies in the Western Region of Uganda, in the hilly country of the south-west. It is not a compact city with a dense grid. From above, it looks more like a scatter of homesteads, trading centres and farms, connected by roads that follow the ridges and dip into the valleys between them.
This part of Uganda is green and intensively farmed, with banana groves, small plots and pasture spread across rounded hills. On the map, the terrain shapes everything. Roads curve along the contours instead of running straight, and footpaths and minor tracks thread between the fields.
A Nyachera map poster captures a rural pattern that is rarely shown on a wall. The lines are thin and irregular, and they gather wherever roads meet. This makes an image that feels drawn by hand rather than planned, which suits the quiet black-and-white style.

Trading centres
Where roads meet, small clusters of buildings and short streets form busier nodes. They appear as denser points in an otherwise open drawing.
Farm tracks
A fine mesh of minor tracks and paths links homesteads and fields across the slopes, filling the spaces between the larger roads.
