Concentric old town
Curving streets circle the centre in rings and form a near-circular pattern. It stands out sharply on the map next to the straighter streets of the newer districts.

Oldenzaal Map Poster & Print
Oldenzaal is one of the oldest towns in Twente, close to the German border in the east of Overijssel. Its historic centre is unusually easy to read from above. Streets curve in rings around the Sint-Plechelmusbasiliek, the Romanesque church at the heart of town, and lanes run outward from it like spokes. The oval shape of the old core still stands out against the newer streets around it.
Beyond the rings, residential neighbourhoods spread in every direction, and the railway toward Hengelo and Germany passes along the edge of town. The terrain is gentler than many people expect of the Netherlands. The Tankenberg, the highest point in Overijssel, rises just outside town, and wooded estates and farmland stretch toward the border.
The town is also known for its carnival, one of the largest in the east of the country. An Oldenzaal map poster, though, is about the permanent shape underneath the celebrations: the rings, the spokes, and the church at the middle that everything seems to turn around. It is a medieval plan that has survived centuries of growth.

Plechelmus Basilica
The Romanesque basilica sits at the midpoint of the rings. The whole historic core seems to arrange itself around this single building and the square beside it.
Tankenberg rise
Just outside town, the Tankenberg marks the highest point in Overijssel. The woods and paths on this modest hill add softer shapes to the edge of the map.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Old towns with circular plans make especially striking posters, and Oldenzaal is a clear example. It works for people with roots in Twente, for those who celebrate carnival here every year, and for anyone who likes to see medieval planning at a glance.
Set your own title, subtitle and a meaningful date, then choose one of five styles. Paper and Sand give the old core a warm, archival look, and Noir turns the rings white on black. Classic black & white and Blueprint keep it crisp. Download the files or order a matte print.
