Ras el Ma Map Poster & Print
Ras el Ma lies in the Fès-Meknès region, west of the city of Fès on the broad Saïs plain. The name means head of the water in Arabic, a reference to springs, and in this part of Morocco water has always shaped where people settle. From above, the settlement appears as a cluster of streets and compounds set among farmland.
The Saïs plain between Fès and Meknès is one of Morocco's agricultural heartlands. Olive groves, cereals and orchards cover much of it, with the Middle Atlas rising to the south. Roads cross the plain in long, straight lines, and settlements like Ras el Ma sit along them. Their growth is recorded in newer blocks added to older cores.
A Ras el Ma map poster shows a small place in a wide landscape. The density of the built-up area contrasts with the open fields and the fine lines of tracks and irrigation around it. In black and white, the pattern is quiet and precise. It is a map for someone who knows this place well, not for someone just passing through.

Add a title in Latin script, a subtitle with a family name or date, and the coordinates of a home. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand pairs well with the warm tones of the Moroccan plain.
