Riera de Rubí
The watercourse runs through the heart of town, crossed by several bridges. Its catastrophic flood of 1962 remains one of the defining events in the town's modern memory.

Rubí Map Poster & Print
Rubí lies in the Vallès Occidental, the plain behind the Collserola hills north-west of Barcelona, between Terrassa and Sant Cugat del Vallès. The town is organised around the Riera de Rubí, a seasonal watercourse whose channel runs through the middle of the map and divides the built-up area into two sides linked by a series of bridges.
The old centre is small, with narrow streets around the parish church of Sant Pere, while later growth spread over the surrounding slopes in neighbourhoods of irregular, contour-following streets. Large industrial estates occupy the outer areas and appear on the map as big rectangular blocks crossed by wide service roads, the result of the town's twentieth-century manufacturing expansion.
Rubí once had a strong vine-growing tradition, and its population grew quickly in the 1960s and 1970s with migration from other parts of Spain. A Rubí map poster captures the town's layered form: the riera in the middle, the tight historic core, and the looser pattern of residential hills and factory zones spreading around them.

Historic core
Around the church of Sant Pere, short narrow streets form the densest patch on the map, in clear contrast with the wider roads beyond.
Industrial estates
Large industrial areas on the outskirts appear as oversized rectangles, giving the edges of the poster a bold, geometric structure.

Rubí is a town where many families arrived, stayed and built their lives over a couple of generations. A map with its riera and hills makes a meaningful piece for a home in Rubí, or for someone who grew up there and has since moved away.
The title can be in Catalan, Spanish or English, and the subtitle and coordinates line are editable as well. Choose from five styles, order a printed poster on matte paper, or download the files for $9 and take them to a local print shop.
