Saitobaru kofun
Hundreds of ancient burial mounds dot the plateau, some with the distinctive keyhole outline, forming one of Japan's best-known kofun clusters.

Saito Map Poster & Print
Saito is in Miyazaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu. The town centre sits in a river valley, with streets following the flat ground along the water and rice fields spreading out around it. To one side a plateau rises, and there the pattern changes completely, from streets to a scatter of rounded mounds.
That plateau holds the Saitobaru burial mounds, a large group of ancient kofun dating from roughly the 4th to 7th centuries and designated a Special Historic Site. There are more than 300 of them, some keyhole-shaped, set among fields and trees and visited in spring for their cherry and rapeseed blossoms.
A Saito map poster combines two scales of history: the modern town in the valley and the old ceremonial landscape above it. The kofun appear as distinctive shapes among the fields. The print is quiet but unusual.

River valley town
The town centre follows the river's flat valley floor, with streets running along the water and farmland filling the surrounding lowland.
Plateau edge
The step up from valley to plateau divides the map into two zones, dense town below and open historic ground above.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Saito is a place of family roots, school years and spring walks among the mounds. This map holds that particular mix of everyday town and ancient landscape in one calm image.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name or a date, and keep the coordinates line. Paper and Sand suit the historic character, and Noir sharpens the outlines of the mounds.
