Sarıkamış Map Poster & Print
Sarıkamış sits high on the plateau of Kars Province in eastern Anatolia, at an altitude where winters are long and snow is reliable. The town itself is modest in size, with a fairly regular grid of streets on a gentle slope. From above, it appears as a defined block of streets set into a landscape of forested hills that rise around it.
The forests are the main reason the town is known today. Extensive stands of Scots pine cover the surrounding mountains, unusual in this otherwise open part of eastern Turkey, and they frame one of the country's best-known ski areas. The railway between Kars and Erzurum passes through the town, adding a long curving line across the map.
Sarıkamış is also remembered for the battle fought here in the winter of 1914 to 1915, when an Ottoman offensive against Russian forces ended in heavy losses, many caused by extreme cold. A Sarıkamış map poster combines the town's compact streets with the forested terrain around it, a quiet record of a place with a significant past.

Kars–Erzurum railway
The rail line curves through the valley and past the town, one of the strongest linear features on the map.
Forested ski slopes
Pine-covered mountains near the town hold the ski runs and lifts, their access roads winding up from the edges of the built-up area.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Some people hang Sarıkamış for the skiing and the winter light in the pines. Others choose it for family history tied to the region or to 1914. In either case, the map offers a calm, considered way to remember the place.
Personalise the title and subtitle, add a meaningful date and edit the coordinates line. Noir and Classic black & white suit the snowy setting, while Paper, Blueprint and Sand offer softer or more technical looks.
