The upper Neman
The Neman loops past the town in broad bends, with flat floodplain along its banks. Its curves contrast with the straighter streets of the built-up area.

Stowbtsy Map Poster & Print
Stowbtsy stands on the Neman in the Minsk region, where the river is still young and winding through low, forested country. From above, the town spreads along the water. A fairly regular pattern of streets is broken up by green space and scattered private houses, and the river curves past on one side, giving the map a soft, natural edge.
The town is closely tied to Yakub Kolas, one of the founders of modern Belarusian literature. He was born nearby, and the area appears throughout his writing. Stowbtsy also sits on the main railway between Minsk and Brest, and that straight line of track is one of the strongest features on any map of the town.
A Stowbtsy map poster sets the geometry of the settlement against the looser forms around it. You see the meandering Neman, fields and woodland, and the long straight routes of rail and road cutting across the plain. It is a small town, but its map has a clear structure, with a river on one side and a railway running through.

Minsk–Brest railway
The main east–west railway runs through the town in a long straight line, with sidings and the station area widening the band of track where it passes.
Low-rise street grid
Much of Stowbtsy is made up of detached houses on regular plots. That gives the map an even, finely divided pattern of blocks and gardens.

དོན་དག་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཁྲ།
Stowbtsy is the kind of place people carry with them: a childhood town, a grandparent's house, a stop on a family route across Belarus. A clean map of its river and streets honours that attachment without any fuss.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, for example to a surname or a meaningful year. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the HD digital files for $9 or a printed poster.
