Studeničani Map Poster & Print
Studeničani is a municipality just south of Skopje, on the slopes that rise away from the Skopje valley. Unlike a single town, it is made up of several villages spread across hilly terrain, and the map reflects that: small clusters of houses linked by roads that curve to follow the ground.
The pattern changes from north to south. Closer to the capital, the land is lower and the settlements are more closely spaced, while further south the roads climb and wind, and the gaps between villages grow. The result is a map with an irregular, handmade quality rather than any overall grid.
A Studeničani map poster suits anyone who knows this landscape: the scattered villages, the lanes between them and the hills behind. It is a portrait of a rural area on the edge of a city, where the pull of Skopje and the quiet of the hills are both visible in the lines.

Winding hill roads
Roads bend and switch back as they climb south, their curves tracing the contours of the terrain and giving the map a flowing texture.
Edge of Skopje
To the north, the land drops toward the Skopje valley, where settlements grow closer together and the influence of the capital shows.
