The river curves past the town, with meadows along its banks. On the map, its looping line gives the whole composition shape.

Telgte Map Poster & Print
Telgte lies on the Ems, just east of Münster, in the flat, green Münsterland. From above, the old town forms a compact oval close to the river, with narrow streets around the central church. The Ems loops past on the edge, and meadows and small woods run along its banks. Newer residential districts spread outward in a gentler pattern.
The town has been a Marian pilgrimage site for centuries. Its baroque chapel houses a revered image of the Virgin that still draws processions today. Telgte is also known through literature: Günter Grass set his novella The Meeting at Telgte here. In it, writers gather in 1647 during the negotiations of the Peace of Westphalia.
A Telgte map poster shows the tight old town set against the soft curves of the Ems and its floodplain. The contrast between a dense historic core and open riverside makes a balanced composition. Paper suits it naturally, and Classic gives crisper lines.

Compact old town
The historic centre forms a small, dense cluster of streets around the church and pilgrimage chapel. It clearly stands out from the looser districts around it.
Münsterland fields
Flat farmland, hedgerows and scattered farms surround the town. They add a fine, patchwork texture to the outer parts of the print.

Telgte suits Münsterland locals, pilgrims and readers of Grass who know the name from the page. The map is small in scale but rich in detail, and it rewards a close look.
