The older part of the settlement has short, irregular lanes. It forms a dense knot at the centre of the map.

Tirumeshi Map Poster & Print
Tirumeshi lies on the western edge of the Chennai metropolitan area in Tamil Nadu, where the city gradually gives way to farmland and water tanks. On a map, this edge is easy to see. Older village lanes cluster around a traditional centre, while newer residential layouts spread out in straighter, more regular plots.
The land here is flat, and the area around Chennai is dotted with irrigation tanks, the shallow reservoirs that have supported farming in Tamil Nadu for centuries. They appear on the map as irregular open shapes between neighbourhoods. Main roads connect the area eastward to the city.
A Tirumeshi map poster shows a place in transition. The small winding core, the grid of new plots and the open land still between them are all visible at once. In black and white, the contrast between old and new street patterns gives the sheet a layered, lived-in look.

New residential layouts
Plotted developments add straight, parallel streets at the edges. They create a clear contrast with the older, winding centre.
Tanks and open ground
Water tanks and undeveloped land lie between built-up areas. They leave calm empty spaces that balance the design.
