The Lagan river
The river runs through the middle of town and divides it into two parts linked by bridges. It is the clearest line on the map and gives the composition its axis.

Värnamo Map Poster & Print
Värnamo lies in the western part of Småland, in Jönköping County, where the Lagan flows south through forest, small lakes and farmland. The town grew on both banks, and on the map the river forms its central spine, crossed by several bridges that join the two halves.
South of the centre, the lake Vidöstern stretches out as a long body of water, and the edges of town quickly give way to woodland. The E4 motorway passes close by, and local roads fan out toward the villages. Industrial areas show up as larger blocks with few streets, distinct from the finer residential grid.
The town has a strong tradition of furniture and industrial design, and the designer Bruno Mathsson, known for his curved laminated-wood chairs, came from Värnamo. A Värnamo map poster fits that heritage well: clean lines, careful proportion and nothing unnecessary, the kind of portrait of the town its designers might have recognised.

Lake Vidöstern
South of town the lake spreads out as a long pale shape. It gives the lower part of the print a broad expanse of open water.
Forest edge
Woodland closes in around Värnamo on every side, so the streets end in clear boundaries and the town sits compactly in the middle of the sheet.
