The Gouwe
The river runs along the town in a broad, gentle line. It is the reason Waddinxveen exists and still the dominant feature of the map.

Waddinxveen Map Poster & Print
Waddinxveen lies in South Holland, just north of Gouda, along the Gouwe, a river and shipping route linking Gouda with Alphen aan den Rijn. The village grew as a ribbon of houses and workshops along the water. That long, narrow shape is still visible on the map, with the Gouwe running along the town for much of its length.
Around the original ribbon, newer districts spread across the surrounding polders. They are laid out in the orderly Dutch pattern of straight streets, ditches and water features. The railway between Gouda and Alphen crosses the town, and the A12 motorway runs just to the south, linking Waddinxveen to the wider Randstad.
A Waddinxveen map poster captures a town shaped as much by water management as by roads. The Gouwe, the polder ditches and the regular blocks of the newer neighbourhoods form a careful, balanced pattern. It looks particularly good in clean black and white, where every channel and street stays sharply defined.

Polder districts
Newer neighbourhoods fill reclaimed land with straight streets and water channels, forming a precise and very Dutch pattern.
Rail and motorway
The Gouda–Alphen railway and the nearby A12 draw firm lines across the map, framing the town within the wider Randstad.
