Island old town
The historic centre sits on its own island in the Havel. It is a compact knot of streets linked to the mainland by a bridge and immediately recognisable from above.

Werder Map Poster & Print
Werder (Havel) lies just west of Potsdam in Brandenburg, where the Havel widens into a chain of lakes. Its historic core occupies a small island in the river, reached by a short bridge. On a map that island stands out at once: a tight oval of old streets and houses with water all around it.
The town has long been known for fruit growing, with orchards covering the slopes around it. Each spring the Baumblütenfest, a blossom festival built around the local fruit wines, draws large crowds from Berlin and Potsdam. The island's windmill and church are among its best-known sights.
A Werder map poster brings the water forward: the island, the lakes of the Havel and the mainland districts along their shores. The railway, the roads and the nearby Berlin ring motorway appear as finer lines, while the pale expanse of the lakes gives the composition its breadth and calm on the wall.

Havel lakes
Broad stretches of water surround the town. Their irregular shorelines give the poster wide pale spaces and a strong natural outline.
Orchard slopes
The fruit-growing land around Werder shows as a quieter pattern of lanes and plots, the landscape behind the town's well-known spring blossom festival.
