Flat plain setting
The surrounding land is almost level, so roads and field boundaries run in long straight lines, giving the outer part of the map a calm, orderly geometry.

Yinma Map Poster & Print
Yinma lies in Shandong province in eastern China, on the broad, level land that stretches across much of the province's interior. From above, the landscape around it is defined by agriculture: rectangular fields, long straight roads and small settlements scattered at regular intervals, with the town itself forming a denser patch of streets within that pattern.
Because the terrain is flat, the road network follows practical lines rather than contours. Main roads run through the town in fairly direct routes, and newer blocks of housing and workplaces tend to be laid out in orderly rectangles. Irrigation channels and minor waterways, common across this part of Shandong, add thin lines between the fields.
A Yinma map poster is less about famous landmarks than about the character of a working place on the plain. The contrast between the compact town and the open, gridded countryside around it gives the print a quiet structure, and in black and white the regularity of the landscape becomes its main visual subject.

Compact town centre
The built-up area forms a noticeably denser cluster of streets, standing out clearly against the open agricultural land that surrounds it on every side.
Rural road network
Straight roads connect the town to nearby villages, creating a web of lines that extends to the edges of the poster and places Yinma within its wider landscape.

Small towns rarely appear on souvenirs, which is exactly why a map of one feels personal. For someone from Yinma, or with family there, the poster shows the streets and roads of home in a clean, modern form that works on any wall.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, including with a name or date in your own words, and there are five styles to choose from: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
