Zalun Map Poster & Print
Zalun lies in the Ayeyarwady region of Myanmar, in the broad lowlands drained by the Ayeyarwady river. From above, the town is shaped by its closeness to water: the river's wide channel and sandbanks dominate one side of the map, and the streets arrange themselves in relation to the bank.
The surrounding land is flat and largely given over to rice cultivation, crossed by small channels and raised tracks. On a map, this appears as open space with fine linear divisions, framing the more closely built streets of the town itself.
A Zalun map poster captures a typical river town of the delta region in simple form. Broad water, a modest grid of streets and the thin lines of paths through paddy fields combine into a quiet, horizontal composition.

Riverside streets
The town's streets run parallel and perpendicular to the bank, a practical layout that reflects the river's importance for transport and daily life.
Paddy landscape
Around the town, flat rice fields crossed by small channels and tracks create a fine, even pattern in the outer parts of the map.
