Zeist Map Poster & Print
Zeist lies just east of Utrecht, at the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a long, wooded ridge of glacial sand hills. From above, the town is unusually green. Long, straight avenues cut through it, lined by villas and country estates, and the built-up area fades into forest to the east and south. It has a spacious, park-like plan rather than a compact historic core.
At the centre of that plan is Slot Zeist, a 17th-century country house set in formal gardens with a long, straight axis, the Slotlaan, running toward it. Beside the house are two quiet squares built by the Moravian Brethren in the 18th century, the Broederplein and Zusterplein, whose orderly layout still stands out on the map.
A Zeist map poster brings out the geometry of the estates and avenues against the softer shapes of the woods. It is a map for commuters, students and families who have made Zeist home, and for anyone who likes a town where the trees are as much a part of the plan as the streets.

Moravian squares
The two symmetrical squares laid out by the Moravian Brethren beside the house form a neat, rectangular pattern among the looser streets around them.
Heuvelrug forest
Woods run east and south up onto the ridge, filling the edges of the map with open ground crossed by paths and lanes.
