Wake Forest Map Poster & Print
Wake Forest lies in northern Wake County, North Carolina, just north of Raleigh. Its historic core is a small grid of streets around the old college campus, with the main street running alongside the railroad. Around this compact center, newer neighborhoods spread out in curving roads and cul-de-sacs across the rolling Piedmont land between creeks and woodland.
The town is best known as the original home of Wake Forest College, founded in 1834. The college moved to Winston-Salem in the 1950s but kept the name. Its former campus is now used by Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The historic district around it preserves many of the older houses and tree-lined streets that define the center.
To the west, Falls Lake stretches across the landscape with long, branching arms that reach into the surrounding forest. A Wake Forest map poster brings together the old town grid, the ring of newer suburbs and the shoreline of the lake. The combination makes for a balanced, quietly detailed design.

Falls Lake
The reservoir's branching arms reach toward the town from the west. Their irregular shapes of water contrast with the neat street patterns nearby.
Railroad main street
The main commercial street runs parallel to the rail line through the old town. This straight axis connects the historic center to the rest of the map.

Miks Wake Forest
Kaart, millel on tähendus
Wake Forest has grown quickly, and many people who live there now arrived recently from other parts of the country. For them a map of the town marks a new chapter. Longtime residents will find in it the older streets they have always known.
Add a family name, a moving-in date or a wedding year to the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates to your street. Choose one of five styles, such as Classic black & white or Paper, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
