Valley roads
The main routes run along the lower ground between hills, giving the poster long, sinuous lines that trace the shape of the valleys.

Ang mapa
Fengle Map Poster & Print
Fengle lies in the northeastern part of Chongqing municipality, a region of steep hills, narrow valleys and terraced slopes that drain toward the Yangtze. In country like this, towns cannot spread freely, and from above Fengle takes the shape its terrain allows.
Roads follow the contours rather than cutting across them, bending along valley floors and doubling back as they climb. Built-up streets gather where the land is flattest, while smaller lanes and paths thread out toward farmland and scattered houses on the surrounding hillsides.
A Fengle map poster turns this into a composition of curves and clusters. There are few straight lines, and the gaps between roads describe the ridges and slopes just as clearly as the roads describe the valleys. It is an honest portrait of a hill town in one of China's most mountainous municipalities, drawn without embellishment.

Compact centre
Where the land levels out, streets draw close together into a small, dense core that stands out clearly against the open hillsides around it.
Hillside lanes
Narrow roads and paths climb away from the centre toward farmland and outlying homes, forming a fine, branching pattern across the slopes.

Bakit Fengle
Isang mapang may kahulugan
For those with family in rural Chongqing, or who grew up in these hills before moving to a larger city, a map of Fengle is a way of keeping home close. Its winding lines are unlike the grids of most urban posters.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps in the town's name as you write it, and choose from five styles. Download the $9 HD files as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, or order a matte print from partners in over 30 countries.
