Valley settlement
The town follows a valley floor, forming a narrow, stretched shape rather than a grid. Its outline is set entirely by the slopes around it.

Ang mapa
Fengling Map Poster & Print
Fengling is a town in the northeast of Chongqing municipality, in the steep, heavily folded country north of the Yangtze near the Three Gorges region. The terrain is mountainous, and settlements are placed where valleys widen enough to allow them. From above, the town appears as a small, elongated cluster of buildings following the line of a valley and its road.
Around Fengling, the land rises steeply into ridges covered with forest and small terraced fields. Roads wind for long distances to connect the town with its neighbours, doubling back on themselves as they climb. Streams run through the valley floors, gathering toward larger rivers that eventually reach the Yangtze.
A Fengling map poster is a study of terrain through its roads. The town itself is modest in size, and the strongest impression comes from the curving lines of routes cutting through otherwise empty space. It suits anyone with family roots in this remote part of Chongqing, or those who have travelled its mountain roads.

Mountain roads
Roads loop and switch back across the hills to reach Fengling. Their curves form the most striking pattern on the map at wider zoom levels.
Streams and ridges
Small watercourses run along the valleys between high ridges. In the print they appear as fine lines through broad, quiet areas of steep ground.

Bakit Fengling
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Fengling is far from any big city, and people who grew up there often carry a strong memory of its valley and the long road out. A map puts that small place on the wall at the same scale as anywhere else.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a name, a date or characters of your choice. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
