Ang mapa
Nazrēt Map Poster & Print
Nazrēt, officially known today as Adama, lies about 100 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa, where the highlands descend into the Great Rift Valley. The city stretches along the main road and railway corridor linking the capital with Djibouti, and its plan reflects that axis: long avenues running across the city, with a regular grid of residential streets on either side.
Its lower altitude makes it warmer than Addis Ababa, and it has long been a weekend and conference destination for people from the capital. The surrounding landscape is open and windy enough to support one of Ethiopia's large wind farms on the nearby hills, and the Awash River flows through the valley not far from the city.
A Nazrēt map poster captures a city built around movement, with a strong central axis, orderly blocks and open ground at the edges. The composition is spacious and easy to read, well suited to a large format, where the rhythm of the grid and the long corridor through it can be seen in full.

Regular Grid
Residential areas are laid out in wide, regular blocks, a clean pattern that stays legible even at the smallest print size.
Open Rift Plain
The city ends in flat, open land toward the valley floor, leaving the map with broad pale margins around the built-up area.

Bakit Nazrēt
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Many people know the city by both of its names, and the poster can carry either. It is a meaningful piece for those who grew up in Adama, studied at one of its universities or stopped here on the road east.
Choose the title yourself, Nazrēt or Adama, along with a subtitle and coordinates line, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9 and carry no watermark.
