Compact town core
The streets of Batalha form a tight, fairly regular block pattern at the centre of the map, a clear dark shape against the lighter rural land around it.

Batalha Map Poster & Print
Batalha is a municipality in the interior of Alagoas, in north-east Brazil, well away from the state's coast. From above the town is a small, concentrated grid of streets with a few main roads leading out into the countryside, where fields, pasture and scattered farmsteads take over.
This is sertão country, with a semi-arid climate and a landscape shaped by long dry seasons. Towns like Batalha grew as local centres for the farms around them, and the map shows that role clearly: a dense centre where roads meet, and a thin pattern of rural tracks spreading into the surrounding land.
A Batalha map poster keeps the place simple and honest. It has no coastline or major river to organise it, so the town's small grid and the roads that radiate from it carry the whole composition. The result is a quiet image of an inland Brazilian town, where the contrast between built core and open country does the work.

Roads into the sertão
A few routes run out of town in different directions and connect it to neighbouring municipalities. On the poster they read like spokes leaving a hub.
Open interior land
Beyond the edge of town the map gets sparse, with rural roads and field boundaries, which reflects the semi-arid interior of Alagoas.
