Cheria sits on the high plains of Tébessa province in eastern Algeria, well above sea level, where the land opens into wide, gently rolling farmland. From above, the town reads as a dense core of low blocks with a few longer roads carrying traffic out toward neighbouring settlements. The edges fade quickly into field boundaries, so the built area stands out clearly against the emptier ground around it.

The streets follow a mostly practical pattern, with straighter avenues crossing tighter residential lanes. Newer districts have grown along the main approach roads, which gives the outline a slightly stretched, star-like shape rather than a neat circle. Seasonal watercourses, dry for much of the year, leave faint lines on the surrounding terrain that a detailed map picks up as thin traces.

A Cheria map poster keeps this balance between settlement and open land. In black and white, the contrast is simple: a knot of streets at the centre, a handful of roads leaving it in different directions, and generous blank space that stands for the plateau. The result is quiet and graphic, and it describes the place honestly without needing any decoration.
