Ciudad Valles Map Poster & Print
Ciudad Valles is the main city of the Huasteca Potosina, the lush eastern region of the state of San Luis Potosí. From above, the city spreads along the Río Valles. The river winds through the urban area in broad bends, while a grid of streets fills the flat land on both sides.
The Sierra Madre Oriental rises to the west, and its green ridges and canyons are the source of the region's well-known turquoise rivers and waterfalls. Ciudad Valles is the usual starting point for visits to places such as the Tamul waterfall and the Micos cascades, which lie in the surrounding hills.
A Ciudad Valles map poster shows the river running through the center, the highway corridor carrying traffic between the coast and the interior, and the edges of the city meeting sugar cane fields and forested slopes. It is a map shaped by water and green hills.

Highway crossroads
Main roads cross at the city, linking the Gulf coast with the highlands, and they form the long axes along which the city has grown.
Sierra foothills
To the west the flat land gives way to the foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental, where roads narrow and wind into the canyons.
