Damiao Map Poster & Print

Damiao lies in the far north of Jiangsu province, a short distance east of central Xuzhou. The land here is part of the wide, low plain that covers much of northern China, and the map shows it. Roads run long and mostly straight, and villages sit as small clusters among the farmland. The town's built-up area gathers where the main routes meet, and fields surround it on every side.

Because the ground is so level, the map is shaped by human hands more than by terrain. Field boundaries, drainage channels and rural lanes lay down a fine rectilinear texture, and newer roads and industrial plots add larger, bolder blocks. Seen as a whole, the pattern shows a place in transition between Xuzhou's growing edge and the countryside that once defined it. A Damiao map poster records that pattern as it stands today.

Xuzhou has long been a crossroads of northern China, where major rail and road routes between Beijing, Shanghai and the interior meet. Damiao sits within that orbit, and the map reflects it. Wider corridors link the town westward to the city, while quieter lanes lead out to the surrounding villages. It is a modest place on a map, and its clarity comes from simple lines rather than landmarks.
