Gbawe is a suburb on the western side of Accra in the Greater Accra Region, part of the belt of neighbourhoods that has grown quickly along the roads leading toward Kasoa and the Central Region. It is mostly residential, and its map is a dense, irregular network of local roads and lanes, shaped by land plots and the gentle terrain rather than a single master plan.
Main roads carry traffic toward the city centre and the western highway, and they form the few long, continuous lines on the map.
