Lagoa da Canoa Map Poster & Print
Lagoa da Canoa is a municipality in the agreste of Alagoas, the transitional zone between the humid coast and the dry sertão of north-east Brazil. It sits close to Arapiraca, the main city of the region. On a map the town is a compact grid of streets surrounded by an intricate patchwork of small farms, which are typical of this densely farmed part of the state.
The name refers to a lagoon, and ponds and small reservoirs do appear across the surrounding land, alongside seasonal streams. Roads lead out to Arapiraca and neighbouring towns, and a network of rural tracks connects the smallholdings. The pattern at the edges of the map is busy and fine-grained, reflecting a landscape divided into many small family plots.
A Lagoa da Canoa map poster sets the tidy town centre against that detailed rural surround. In black and white the contrast works well: bold central blocks, fine field lines and small dark shapes of water. It is a personal and specific image of the Alagoas agreste, suited to anyone with roots in the town.
