Levanger Map Poster & Print
Levanger lies on the eastern shore of the Trondheimsfjord in Trøndelag, where fertile farmland slopes down to the water. The town centre is a compact grid of streets lined with wooden houses, laid out after a nineteenth-century fire. It is one of Norway's best-preserved wooden town centres. On the map, those regular blocks stand out between the shoreline and the rolling fields.
The fjord is a constant presence: the coast bends around the town, and a small harbour and the mouth of the Levanger river break the shoreline. The E6 highway and the Nordland railway run along the coastal strip. Levanger is also home to a campus of Nord University, adding modern buildings at the edge of the historic core.
A Levanger map poster pairs the neat wooden-town grid with the broad shape of the fjord and the patchwork of farms inland. The water leaves wide open areas in the frame, while the streets and roads gather along the coast. It is a quiet, balanced composition that suits a minimalist print.
