Malabanban Norte is a barangay in Candelaria, in Quezon province, part of the Calabarzon region south-east of Manila. From above, most of the space is rural. Settlement clusters along a small number of roads, and the land between them breaks into irregular parcels. There is no strict grid here. The pattern comes from farms, paths and family compounds.
The area sits on the agricultural lowlands of southern Luzon, where coconut has long shaped the economy and the landscape.
