Morohongō lies in Saitama Prefecture, in the Moroyama area on the western edge of the Kanto plain. From above, it sits where flat land begins to rise into wooded hills, and the street pattern changes accordingly: denser around the station and main roads, looser and more winding where the terrain climbs. Small rivers and valleys cross the area, guiding roads and houses.
The area is home to Saitama Medical University and its hospital, which form a large cluster of buildings on the map. Moroyama is also known for yuzu, grown in the hillside orchards to the west. A railway line connects the town with Kawagoe and other parts of Saitama, making it part of the wider commuter area around Tokyo.
