Owerri Map Poster & Print
Owerri, the capital of Imo State in southeastern Nigeria, is shaped by its rivers. The Otamiri runs along the eastern side of the city and the Nworie along the south, and the main roads and older districts sit between them. Beyond this core, newer residential areas stretch outward along the main highways in a more open, planned pattern of streets.
In Nigeria the city is known as a centre of hospitality and entertainment, with a hotel and events scene that draws visitors from across the southeast. Its cultural landmarks include the Mbari Cultural Centre, which preserves the Igbo tradition of mbari houses. These sculptural shrines were built as offerings to Ala, the earth deity.
An Owerri map poster shows a city defined by the meeting of water and road: two winding river corridors, the dense older neighbourhoods between them and the long arms of development reaching outward. The composition is balanced and has a clear centre, drawn in clean black lines that hold up at every print size.

Nworie River
Running along the south of the city, the Nworie gives the map a second line of water, and together the two rivers frame the older districts.
Radial highways
Main roads toward Port Harcourt, Aba, Onitsha and Okigwe spread from the centre like spokes and give structure to the outer parts of the map.
