Porur Map Poster & Print
Porur sits on the western side of Chennai, where the city's dense grid starts to thin into newer residential layouts. From above, the clearest structure is the road network: major arterials from the city centre meet here and fan outward toward the western suburbs, and the smaller lanes between them fill in densely, block by block.
The largest open shape on the map is Porur Lake, a wide body of water that has long served as a source for the city's supply. Its uneven shoreline stands out against the tight texture of housing around it and anchors the whole composition. A Porur Map Poster reads as a meeting of movement and stillness, with busy corridors on one side and still water on the other.
Porur's growth tracks Chennai's westward expansion, and the map shows it plainly. Older, irregular lanes sit close to the main junction, and more regular plots of recent development spread out beyond. That mix of organic and planned patterns gives the print its depth, and it records a neighbourhood that has changed quickly within living memory.

The main junction
Arterial roads converge at Porur and make it one of the key crossing points on Chennai's western side. On the map they read as strong lines through a finer mesh.
Suburban layouts
Beyond the older core, newer residential plots follow more regular geometry. Together they record the stages of the city's steady outward growth.
