Roads come in from several directions and meet near the centre, where the plots are tightest. Beyond that core the pattern loosens quickly, with scattered compounds giving way to fields and patches of woodland.
The town is the administrative seat of its district and a local trading point for the farming communities around it, and the map shows that role clearly. Everything seems to lead inward.
