Capoeiras Map Poster & Print
Capoeiras is a municipality in the agreste of Pernambuco, the transitional region between the humid coast and the dry sertão of northeastern Brazil. The town itself is compact. On the map its streets form a small, fairly regular centre that ends quickly in open land, with roads leaving toward neighbouring municipalities and rural communities.
The surrounding landscape is rural and gently undulating, used for farming and grazing. From above this appears as a wide field of thin lines: tracks, property boundaries and small watercourses that rise in the rainy season and shrink in the dry months. The town is a single concentrated point inside this larger pattern.
Its name is shared with a Brazilian word for cleared land or secondary vegetation, the same word some trace in the name of the martial art. A Capoeiras map poster shows a place that is quiet on paper but specific in shape, a small grid of streets against a spacious countryside.

Agreste landscape
The municipality lies in the agreste, a zone of hills and farmland between coast and sertão. On the map it gives the town an airy, open setting.
Rural roads
Roads run from the town to villages and farms in several directions, and their thin lines are what connect the dense centre to the wider map.
