Carballo is the main town of the Bergantiños area in the province of A Coruña. The map shows a compact center on the banks of the Anllóns river. Streets fan out towards newer districts, and the countryside beyond is broken into the small, irregular fields and scattered hamlets typical of rural Galicia.
