Didy is a rural commune in the Alaotra-Mangoro region of eastern Madagascar, in the uplands between the Lake Alaotra basin and the forested escarpment toward the coast. On a map, the built-up area is small: a loose cluster of streets and paths set among fields, rice terraces and rolling hills.
Much of what the map shows is the land around the settlement rather than the settlement itself.
