Káto Polemídia sits on the northwestern edge of Limassol, close enough to the city that on a map the two run together without a clear seam. Residential streets spread across rising ground and bend around the contours instead of following a strict grid. The built-up area thins out as it reaches the hills that separate the coast from the interior of the island.
The Garyllis river is the clearest natural line in the drawing. It comes down from the higher ground to the north and passes through the municipality on its way toward Limassol and the sea.
