Koster Map Poster & Print
Koster is a small town in South Africa's North West province, in farming country west of the Magaliesberg. On a map it appears as a compact block of streets. The land around it is wide and flat, and the town stands out as a dense patch in a very open landscape.
The surrounding area is used mainly for agriculture, and the fields around the town show up as large, simple geometric plots. Roads leave town in long straight lines toward neighbouring settlements. These lines give the map a sense of distance and scale typical of the Highveld interior.
A Koster map poster works through restraint. There are few lines, but each one has a clear purpose: the street grid of the town, the regional roads and the edges of the fields. The design is calm and spare, and suits people who like a quiet map.

Straight regional roads
Long roads run away from town across open land. They draw strong lines to the edges of the poster and connect Koster to the wider region.
Open farmland
The large agricultural plots around the town leave much of the sheet in open space. This gives the composition a spacious, uncluttered feel.

Yon kat ki gen sans
A map of Koster is often a way to keep hold of roots: a family farm, a childhood in a small town or years spent in the North West. Its simple lines suit modern and traditional interiors alike.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised, for example with a family name or the year someone arrived. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
