Łask Map Poster
Łask lies south-west of Łódź in central Poland, on the small Grabia river. On the map, the old centre is a compact square with streets running out from it, surrounded by houses, blocks of flats and green spaces. The river valley brings a band of meadows and trees to one side of town.
The town is linked to the Łaski family, including Jan Łaski, Primate of Poland in the early sixteenth century, and the collegiate church in the centre dates from that period. Today Łask is also known for the military air base nearby, home to F-16 fighters of the Polish Air Force, whose runways form a large, clear shape on the map.
