Norrtälje Map Poster & Print
Norrtälje is the main town of Roslagen, north-east of Stockholm, on the coast of the Baltic. The town sits at the inner end of Norrtäljeviken, a long bay that reaches in from the archipelago, and the Norrtälje river runs through the centre before meeting the water.
The old town, with its low wooden houses and narrow streets, lies along the river, while newer neighbourhoods spread over the surrounding slopes. Norrtälje received town privileges in the seventeenth century and later became known for a rifle factory, as well as for summer visitors from Stockholm.
A Norrtälje map poster brings together the curving river, the long shape of the bay and the small scale of the historic centre. The contrast between the water and the fine street pattern makes the town especially graphic in black and white, with the archipelago beginning just beyond the frame.

The town river
The river flows through the centre and meets the bay, with streets and bridges arranged along its banks.
Old wooden centre
Around the river, the historic core keeps its small blocks and narrow streets, giving the poster a finer, denser texture.
