Ozersk stands in the Chelyabinsk region on the eastern side of the Urals, on the shore of Lake Irtyash. Its name comes from the Russian word for lake, and water shapes almost every edge of the map. The town was founded in the late 1940s to serve the Mayak nuclear complex.
