Long streets
Houses and gardens line long parallel streets. On a map they form a clean, striped pattern that is typical of villages on the steppe.

Rayevskiy Map Poster & Print
Rayevskiy is a large settlement in western Bashkortostan, Russia, and the centre of Alsheyevsky district. It grew up around a station on the railway between Samara and Ufa. The surrounding land is flat to gently rolling farmland, typical of the western edge of the southern Urals foothills, with river valleys running through it.
On the map, the settlement is spread out in long, straight streets lined with houses and gardens. They run parallel to one another, and the railway crosses the layout as a firm diagonal. Past the last houses come fields, shelter belts and the meandering lines of small rivers.
A Rayevskiy map poster captures this open, linear pattern of a rural railway town. The long streets, the tracks and the flat country around them make a calm composition that is recognisable to anyone who has lived there.

Railway line
The line between Samara and Ufa runs through the settlement. The station it serves is the reason Rayevskiy exists, and it is a strong diagonal on the poster.
Fields and rivers
Farmland and shelter belts surround the settlement, and river valleys wind across the plain. Together they fill the edges of the composition with soft, open shapes.
