Valley-shaped centre
The town follows the lower ground, so its outline is long and irregular. On the poster that gives a natural, flowing silhouette instead of a hard rectangle.

Rio Bonito Map Poster & Print
Rio Bonito sits inland in Rio de Janeiro state, in hilly country east of the Guanabara Bay region. From above, the town fills the lower ground of a valley, and its streets bend to follow the terrain rather than a straight grid. Hillsides rise close to the built area, and roads thread out along the gaps between them.
The town lies on one of the main road corridors running east from the metropolitan area toward the coast and the north of the state, and that highway is a clear line on the map. Around it, neighbourhoods climb gently into the hills, and patches of green and pasture fill the spaces between them.
A Rio Bonito map poster captures an inland, hill-country side of Rio de Janeiro that visitors to the coast rarely see. The streets curve and branch, the valley gives the town its shape, and the surrounding slopes keep it contained. In a minimal style, the result is soft, organic and easy to live with.

Main highway
The regional highway passes through as a strong, continuous line. It anchors the composition and hints at the town's links with Niterói and the coast.
Hillside streets
Smaller streets curl up into the hills in loops and dead ends. At larger print sizes this fine, winding texture becomes one of the map's most attractive details.
