Santa Brígida lies inland on Gran Canaria, a short climb from the coast at Las Palmas, in the greener and wetter midlands of the island. Its roads do not follow a grid. They wind along ridges and dip into barrancos, the steep ravines that carry water from the central mountains toward the sea.
