Fortress crag
The castle rock rises directly above the centre, and the streets below curve around its foot. On the map it appears as a quiet gap in the street network, the one place nothing was built.

Şebin Karahisar Map Poster & Print
Şebin Karahisar sits in the uplands of southern Giresun, far from the province's Black Sea shore. The name refers to the black fortress on the rock above the town, and from above the logic is easy to read. The crag is the fixed point, and the streets arrange themselves around its base, following the contours rather than a grid. Roads leave the centre in long switchbacks toward the surrounding valleys.
On paper the town is a study in terrain. Short lanes climb in steps, blocks change direction from one slope to the next, and the built-up area soon thins into open hillside. There is no river frontage or coastline to anchor the composition, so the streets carry the drawing themselves. They are dense at the centre and loosen toward the edges, where the mountain country begins.
For centuries the district was known for its alum deposits, which were mined here and traded far beyond Anatolia. Today the fortress is still the landmark everyone uses to find their way. A Şebin Karahisar map poster keeps that arrangement intact: the rock at the heart of the sheet, the town wrapped around it, and the mountain roads trailing off toward the edges of the frame.

Contour-following lanes
The town's lanes follow the slope instead of forming straight blocks, turning and doubling back as they climb. The result is an irregular, almost hand-drawn pattern that looks especially clear in fine black lines.
Mountain approaches
The main roads reach the town in long bends from the surrounding highlands. They give the edges of the poster a sense of distance and elevation, even in a flat drawing.
