Yujia is a town in China's Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country of the municipality's northeast. The region is one of steep ridges, winding valleys and small rivers. Settlements grow wherever there is enough level land, so each town takes a shape closely tied to its terrain.
On a map, Yujia appears as a compact cluster of streets set along a valley and its main road, with newer buildings extending along the routes leading out. Around it, the land is divided into small, irregular fields and terraces that follow the contours. Narrow roads wind between the hamlets on the slopes.
