Zhenzhou lies on the north bank of the Yangtze in Jiangsu province, west of Yangzhou. It forms the urban centre of Yizheng. The land here is flat and full of water, and the map reflects that: canals, ponds and small waterways run between districts, while the Yangtze forms a broad edge to the south.
